Tradition is not a safe authority. Tradition, of course, is history that can't be supported by facts -- practices and beliefs that are based upon that history.

Hey! To what traditions are you referring in your message to the Christians of the world? I'd like to think that us non-denominational types have freed ourselves from many traditions, but I also know we are in the process of creating traditions of our own. It is a dangerous thing to be led by tradition, but maybe all traditions aren't bad. Nice to know you're thinking about such things, though.
